Looking to RENT Your Home Care Equipment?
Aging in Place Has Never Been Easier
There is an old saying; “at home, even the walls help.” It means that the familiar environment of your own home is the place to be, whether you are recovering from an injury or overcoming the challenges of old age. At Freedom Mobility, we carry a variety of home care equipment to help you age in place safely and comfortably. We realize that many seniors move through a series of plateaus as their need for care increases. That’s why our trained specialists work closely with you to not only meet your current needs, but also plan for the future.
In our Central Maryland mobility equipment store you will find:
Hospital Beds
A hospital bed is a very functional piece of equipment that can be of great help in home care conditions. Hospital beds have many useful features, such as the ability to be raised and lowered for easier access by the caregiver. Additional bed rails can be attached for both safety and to improve patient’s mobility while on bed rest.
Mattresses
Repeated head of bed elevating and the patient’s concentrated weight combine to expose the seat section of a mattress to the highest level of mechanical fatigue. Our mattresses are tapered for feet to provide pressure reduction and offer protection from “bottoming out.” The high-density sectioned technology offers a combination of resiliency, recovery and comfort to make an excellent solution for many patients.

Patient Transfer Lifts
If you are in a cast or required to maintain a specific posture after a surgery, getting in and out of bed can get complicated. That’s what standing and transfer aids are for—to reduce the weight you have to bear on your lower body. There will be a brief moment when you will need to stand on your feet. Other than that, the transfer aid will take care of supporting your body weight.
Bathroom Safety Equipment
We have many products that will help make your bathroom a safer place. Choose from hydraulic bath lifts, commodes, raised toilet seats, shower chairs and a wide selection of grab bars. One of our trained Central Maryland home care equipment specialists will help you select the best safety solutions for your specific bathroom design and layout.
Therapeutic Reclining Lift Chair
Don’t confuse lift chairs with stairlifts as they are not the same thing. Unlike a stairlift, a lift chair is not designed for transporting you. Its primary goal is to make it easy for you to take a seat on and get up from the chair. This is achieved through a unique lift mechanism that allows the chair to rise, moving you into a vertical position. Many lift chairs can also recline and be used for napping or even sleeping at night.
